For good old goats and traveling folks

A friendly, historic community with ties to the CP Railroad, this former lumber town occupies a picturesque spot along the meandering Moyie River, close to the US border. Campers can stay at nearby Yahk Provincial Park, which boasts a pleasant campground right on the banks of the river, or at one of four private camp sites close to town. There are two motels along the highway as well.

Don’t be surprised to look up and find goats on the roof of one of Yahk’s best-known businesses! For good, clean fun, pay a visit to the Yahk Soap Company, and take away a Beaver Butt or Cougar Booger bar for lathering up at home. Satisfy your sweet tooth with ice cream just down the street. The locals like to have fun too, so be sure to join us for our annual summerfest and winterfest, or stop by a music jam or monthly potluck and coffee house at the Yahk-Kingsgate Community Hall.
